Default Change my front brakes pads and rotors not they squeal

Bought front brake pads and slotted rotors off ebay 8 months ago and the SOBs start to squeal after they heat up. It's the darndest thing. I went to my reputable repair shop and they claim i need new pads and rotors in the front if i want to get rid of the squealing despite them admittedly having little wear. Is there another potential fix for this problem? I notice the warmer it gets the quicker they start to squeal and when it is very cold outside it takes longer for them to start. Summer is right around the corner and i would like to get this fixed and avoid the 700 price tag of new pads and rotors

Pull the pads and apply anti seize to the back of each and reinstall them in the exact same location.

No guarantee but it's worth a try. I always do this with new pads and have never had brake squeal. If your mechanic refuses to do this for you go elsewhere. Jag brakes are not rocket science.

BTW- $700 for front pads and rotors was a bargain. Hope you got quality stuff.

Find a safe area and do a dozen or so very hard, agressive stops. This will help bed in the new pads and clear off any glazing. No guarantees, but this sometimes resolves squealing pads.

I had the same issue after installing new pads an rotors. Pulled the pads again and applied LiquiMoly anti squeal and copper paste to the backs - no more squealing after that.

Thanks I am gonna try to do this next monday. I have driven to fl and back twice from dc, so the other posters recommendation of seating the brakes through hard stopping has left me with the same results
