Default Check out these mats...

Really like the large Jaguar logo. The surging color is "silver", but is almost white, which matches the white contrast stitching in my leather.

Got them from AutoETC...think they were around $77 for the two front with logo and heel pad...

They fit perfectly. They have the drivers side template for 2007 - 2009, and the correct shape for 2010+ models.

Default Still happy?

I'd like a new set of mats. Have the camel interior on a black '11 xk. Have you seen a dark brown mat used to compliment the beige? It's just that it looks dirty all the time.

If you will contact Dena at AutoETC I am sure she can help you with specific colors.

Their email is auto_etc@yahoo.com; I always address my emails to Dena and she responds.

I have the caramel interior too and thought that dark brown would look fitting. The floor mats are really easy to wash (compared the lambswool in my VDP) and come back to almost new quite easily.

I have caramel with stock black mats. Keeps maintenance down and looks nice as there are black bits in the car. Will look into these.

When I Google "AutoEtc", I get a used car lot in Maine! How do I reach the AutoEtc where you got your great floor mats? Thanks!

Try using this email address...

auto_etc@yahoo.com

Let them know what model/year car you have and what color/feature you are looking for in the mat.

I'm going to send them a note tonight. What do you guys think on the mats (black xk 2011 with camel color interior)...do I go with the black mats or camel again? Hate the easy dirty look...but does black look okay?

Default I say ... it depends on the carpet color.

Camel carpet = camel mats. Black carpet = black mats.

Snide72,

"Ain't necessarily so..." My 2009 XKR Portfolio interior is 2-tone, Ivory and Slate. Carpet is Ivory and the factory logo mats are Slate bound in Ivory leather. Interior and mats are in the photo below.

Ivory mats would have been a disaster; dark mats are much more practical. Although darker than Ivory, Camel mats also aren't very practical. I see no reason why someone with Camel carpet can't use a black or brown mat that picks up either the black trim or brown wood trim, if so equipped. Just my

Hmmmm, interesting concept.

I have two sets of caramel mats...one set in the washer/dryer and one in the car. Perhaps a black set would not only look sharp but also keep my wife from slapping me upside the head about what I put in the washer.

Default Allow me to elaborate ...

I didn't mean it's completely cut & dried. Personal preference should always control. And your black mats, Stuart, sound great given your Jag's interior. A solid carmel interior is so gorgeous that I'd be worried black mats might detract from the otherwise beautiful look. If, on the other hand, the carmel interior has black carpet or two-tone carmel and black door panels, then I think black mats would look great. My '09 XK Coupe is Vapour Grey with a two-tone Ivory & Slate Blue interior. Since the carpet is Slate Blue, I have Slate Blue mats. However, I live in Ohio and the Jag is my daily driver, so I have plain Grey "winter" cheapo mats that I use from Nov. 15 to Mar 15 to keep the really nasty stuff from getting on my Slate Blue mats. As far as keeping mats, especially light-colored mats clean, I use a good quality carpet shampoo and I spot clean with a brush and a liquid carpet spot remover beforehand on any bad spots. After cleaning them thoroughly, I use my powerful, electric leaf-blower followed by a clean towel to ensure they're 100% dry. Then, before putting them back in the Jag, I spray them with aerosol Scotchgard and let them dry in the sun. In closing, when I think about mixing brown (or carmel) with black, I'm reminded of George Gobel's self-deprecating line to Johnny Carson one night on Johnny's show when Bob Hope and Dean Martin were sitting on the sofa next to George and he felt like he didn't "belong" with them, "Johnny, did you ever get the feeling that the world was a tuxedo ... and you were a pair of brown shoes?"

Thumbs up Auto etc mats - home run

Went with the matching ones with brown logo. They are perfect and look incredible. Here are some shots. Sprayed with scotch guard and waiting to put them in for good. They are thicker and have a bit of a dot pattern being so much thicker they won't show dirt near as much and look really rich. Thrilled.
