My gf and I were on our way to lunch on a beautiful, sunny, blue skied Sunday. I was driving rather conservatively and enjoying our conversation. Then, lights started flashing. Police! I glanced at my speedo and saw 70+ mph and pulled to the side of the road. The police officer said he clocked me at 73 in a 60 zone and was writing me up for 70. I gave him my license, insurance papers and waited. He returned to car, stated it was a really clean 2008 Jaguar, said he had issued a warning ( no ticket). I thanked him, wished him a Merry Christmas
..he stopped, turned around extended his hand, we shook hands and he said. MERRY Christmas to you.

Time and time again I’ve found if you treat patrol officers with the same respect you would expect from a civilized person, that’s what you get back. Lucky for you, your experience included interaction with another (possibly English) car lover.
