After blacking out the chrome window surround and going back to factory black on side louvres I have tail lights to attend to (looking at potentially having a set made up) and toying with the idea of changing wheel colour.
You could first try it out by painting one side with that peelable spray paint. If you don't like it, peel it right off. If you DO like it, peel it off and use real paint.
Black wheels would work but keep in mind black also helps details blend away, might need some caliper colour to help set them off. You could try a dark gunmetal or hyper black. For the tailights, I thought you were considering a facelift?
I don't know, which is why I ask... What is the layout of the older tail assemblies? I assume Brake on the Bottom, One reverse light and one fog on the boot lid, but then what are the white/transparent lenses for? Are those the turn signal indicators? Why white? Yellow tint bulbs inside? If so, how about using a red light tint over the white part and using white bulbs inside? While not LED, it'd be at lease uniform.

That’s an interesting idea, bet no one’s tried that before, might look good.

If you go black definitely calipers would have to be red for that contrast, i might dip in dark gunmetal I do like that combo on the xkrs with the satin grey Vulcans

Yeah, thanks, but I still don't have an answer for this question.
Anyone?
Your car is already too black for my taste. And black wheels are a big turnoff for me anyway (unless they're matched with a really bright color, like orange or apple green).
That being said, for black cars, old gold is a match made in heaven.

Are you thinking of a new style of wheels or recoating your originals?
I did infact dip them in super dark grey it definitely did not suit !!! At this stage I quite happy to leave in hyper Silver ))) now time to focus on the rear lights and some enquiries into custom made crown wheel for diff
