Is this a common problem among vert owners?-image.jpgHi all,

I recently experienced an issue with the tonneau cover flap on the passenger side which no longer would close flush and instead leaves an open space (see pic of vehicle I've just seen for sale). Fortunately I still have warranty coverage and it has been fixed but I have seen a large number of xk vert pics for sale with these flaps not closing properly. Anyone else have this issue? Wondering if it's a chronic problem.

Second pic is with the flap closing properly when the roof is open.

With flap closed.

not a great angle I admit, but we can see how the entire tonneau cover is flush as it should be. No gaping holes. Anyone else have this issue?

Thanks

I don't have this issue, but I have heard of a few people having to deal with this issue. I wonder how expensive of a fix it is.

Here is the link to my fix for this problem. If there is any further interest I will go out to the garage and take some pictures of the process.

Experienced exactly the same issue (same side) on my 2011 XKR within the last coupe months. Repaired under warranty so I cannot offer any reco on fix process. It was done while I enjoyed a free cup of coffee in the lounge!

I was looking at mine the other day when it had the top closing fit. Looks like the flap is spring loaded and attached to the top with a cable.
