Computer Updates for Performance Improvement ?
Was at the dealership this last week regarding my rear "chirping" XKR-S and ran into a XKR owner. Very nice fellow. He was at the dealership inquiring as to how he can update his car's computer for better performance. They simply stated "we don't do it", and "if you have an outside company do it, your warranty is VOID". He had them clean is car, and then we enjoyed watching my XKR-S malfunction. Least it looked good doing it
.
I am posting this for him as he does not wish to join the forums as of yet - He would like info regarding this as he still wishes to do so. He has 2012 XKR. What is the best company for this? Who has updated the CPU/ECU etc etc? Was it worth it? Any problems with daily driving vs performance driving? Thanks so much for helping my new friend out and please share all you know!!

Dealership is not making any friends with that kind of response. They could've been more political about it. I've only seen one chip tuner talked about in this forum that offers a chip and pulley combo.

I have 2012 xk na that has been upgraded by ecu tuning group. car has a better sound is somewhat more powerful and gets slightly better gas mileage. As a member of the forum got a 15% discount. Car has been into the dealer for the annual checkup since then and not a peep from the dealer regarding the re-tuned ecu. Talk to Jags at ecu tuning group.
