I've got the union jack ones. I think they are pretty cool.

I have those same ones on my XK, so I obviously think they are cool.

My car came with them. I like them fine. Not sure I would call them cool or dumb.

Buy two sets so you can replace them after the 'coo'l kids liberate them.

After having a couple corrode onto the stem I went with plain black plastic on my cars. Few things are as frustrating as having the stem spin out and leak bad when you just wanted to add some air.

I had a set on my old Ferrari and they were stolen at a race track. The next set I bought had a wrench with them as the tops would spin if you didn't use it.

Yep. I have those in grey. I put anti seize on the threads of the stem so they don't, well, seize.. I also give them a twist at each car wash just to be sure.... They look good IMO.

Thanks all. Yeah, maybe "dumb" is harsh. Maybe "too much?"
I'm just not typically a fan of the "Mina Gallery" style of mods on a car (or license plate frames that have the make of the car stamped on them-- we know it's a BMW, pal). I kinda like these but, like I said I was on the fence. Think I'm gonna get a set.

Speaking of, follow-up question: thoughts on putting a leaper badge on the back of 07-11 XK's?
I really love the look, but it goes against my "keep it stock" philosophy. I'll never understand why Jaguar didn't include it for those years...

TPMS valves are supplied with plastic valve caps, which can't seize onto the metal thread. To prevent metal aftermarket logo valve stem caps from seizing, simply apply a little Vaseline on the thread before you screw on the cap. Re-apply every time you remove the cap, and at least once a year. Quality caps are made with an "O" ring to keep dirt from getting into the valve mechanism.

I'd go for just the leaper, growler, or union jack; not the style that says Jaguar on it. Should only be an emblem; not writing.

My vote is for "dumb". But that's just me. I've certainly done dumber stuff myself and that's just me too.

I like the shell casing caps that show up on the link. A bit ghetto but a statement...

They are OK, solid and pretty well built. They are not a glaring thing, not even noticeable unless you look for or directly at them. I also have the ones with the locking set screw to deter theft, but I removed the screws as I figured I'd rather have the caps disappear than have the entire stem twisted off. I got mine after one of my four "Nitro Fill" caps disappeared.

turns out mine is the leaper only so I'm cool I guess Also it's so small I couldn't see the lettering being legible!

If you like them go for it……. if you get tired off them, put the stock ones back on. I don't think they're dumb.

pk4144,
I also thought the rear needed a "leaper" badge, but I think the one used on the XJ, F-type etc. is too large and makes the rear panel look too busy. So, I ordered a pair of the smaller sized ones for about $5.00, painted the one that I was using, black, and glued it on mine.

I think they're a nice detail even if you and the tire shop guys are probably the only ones who'll ever notice them. I just ordered a set of these union jack ones myself:

Land Rover LR027666 Tire Valve Stem Cap | eBay

Also saw these (growler or R logo), which are a little pricier than the one's you linked, but seem pretty cool as well:

Well, if you want something that will be noticed by more than the tire shop guys, try these:

Hey! You could use these as wheel weights!
