Coming from an 03 XJR to 07 XKR I adore the car and just had a couple of questions.

1.When I come to a stop, sometimes I feel the car shift into first a few seconds after I stop. Is this normal?

2. When using the key fob from outside the car, if I hold unlock, the car unlocks and the windows roll down. When I hold lock, the car locks but the windows don't close. Is this normal?

1 - I used to feel the shift to 1st in an 07 XK. I think my current 08 XKR still does it - but it's less of a bump.

2- there's a menu somewhere in the touchscreen for things like drive away locking, 2 stage unlock, global open, and global close. Global open/close are what lets it open/close the windows from the keyfob. Check to see if global close is enabled. If it is you may need to reset the window memory.

I do already have the global locking enabled, so this would seem to be no. Guess I need to get it in the shop before the warranty dies.

My 08 has the same transmission abrupt "down shift" as I'm coming to a slooooow stop. I had the dealer look at it and they said all was normal. I'm not used to this (I'm a GM a guy). The car is driven very easy (I have a Z06 for play) so it's not the transmission trying to play sport on me.
