Mo
You got north of 610 hp just by changing your paddle shifters! WOW

I only got an extra 5 hp by adding an R badge to my grill.

I was referring to the question about adding Horsepower to the XKR..not about the paddle shifters.

Which tune & which pulley? Did you do a baseline dyno prior to the mods?

Count me in on these paddle shifters but like everyone else, seeing the final product is vital to making the buying decision. Hopefully you can get a prototype of the full version having both sides.

Hey Mo,

I didn't see any HP questions and the way you threw it out there open ended I couldn't resist.

Thanks for clearing up where you got the 610 hp, looks like you got great results with the pulley and tune.

Enjoy

The latest response from the manufacturer is they are working on it, hopefully not too much longer.

Doesn't the XKRS-GT have metal paddle shifters?

It does, but they are small and not much more functional than the plastic ones.

My goal was to make REAL paddle shifters since I use mine all of the time. Something that has been a sore point with me for 6 years on both of my X150s.

Yes but they are the same size as the plastic ones we have and cost about $400+ ... we hope we get bigger, better, cheaper .... it's the American way ...

The metal ones are actually a bit taller than the stock plastic ones.

For me they would work fine if the price wasn't so high. The plastic ones function fine but the plastic feel is just cheap. I am thinking if these prototypes don't fit my fancy then I will suck it up and buy the Jag ones.

The metal GT shifters are working well for me.. Not cheap but worth the price, they feel great and easy to find. Of course thats my own opinion, and I can see why some would want a larger shifter.

Are these prototypes dead! What is the status? Will really like to see the final product before ordering.

Sorry everyone. Not dead. I have been busy and travelling and have not had a moment to prod the machinest to get this done even though he was supposed to have a finished set for me weeks ago.

Okay, spoke with my machinist. Various excuses for the delay, but he did just get a 3D printer and we may try a set using that. Appreciate everyone's patience. Hope to have something to update here in the next week or so.
