Default Decided to change my headliner to a custom suede color

This wasn't something I had planned to do. I ended up getting a stain on my tan suede one (don't ask ) so I decided to try something different. It is really close to the color of my dash and carpet...You can barely tell any difference. It only took me one day for the whole process. I like it!

Are you going to change all the other bits too?

I like the color. I wish my car had come with the black suede over tan but secondhand owners can't be pickers.

Looks great, a happy color. I would not mind to change he black roof liner to a lighter color in my car. Just too much black inside my XKR.

Great job! What a huge difference in material quality. Where did you find it? I've been looking for something as nice as the suede cloth used in the Portfolio Jags, at a more modest price than brand name stuff.

It's all over the place, and not very much more $$$ than anything else.

Thanks for the link (saved). I've seen similar material on ebay before but seeing it on your car is completely different and takes away any apprehension I had before.

Cheers,

GGabriel,
The synthetic suede used is one of which I have used thousands of yards over the years. The last time I bought it, maybe 6 months ago, I paid $3.95/yd. It is 60" wide and available in about 100 colors. So in other words, $7.90 worth of the suede will provide you with enough for the headliner, the 'A' pillars, the visors, etc. For any forum member wanting some, just let me know, and I can pick up in the color of your choice and drop it in the mail. I have pieces of several colors at my shop, including a dark red/light burgundy, a mint green, probably some black, and who knows what else. Expensive look, cheap price.

What is this 'too much'? I want something like the Black Ship:
