I had a small area on the dash of my 2010 XK Convert, that delaminated and bubbled up, maybe an area 4" x 6". It was hard to see because of it's location and how little it really lifted.
I've read on here how other have solved this issue, but the problem was so small I didn't want to mess with it.
A few days ago the temps reached 80 degrees with unlimited sun. First time this year to lower the top and enjoyed the morning driving around doing errands.
Parked the car in the drive where it sat for about 4 hours in the sun. Black interior does not do well in direct sunlight for that long and just about BBQ'd my butt when I sat down.
I felt the dash and it was hot to the touch and I thought now may be the time to try and flatten out my bubble.
I have a 25# bag of lead bird shot in a canvas bag that I placed over the bubble, nice thing about the bag and shot is that easily conforms to the contour of the dash, no flat spots, and a evenly distributed weight over the intended area. Left it in place over night and most of the next day . When I removed the bag the bubble was gone and no apparent damage to the leather. For the past 3 days it's held, treated the dash with some leather conditioner and we'll see if everything stays put.
Get yourself a shade!! Best investment I've made. The Jaguar one fits perfectly and makes a huge difference in interior temps. Obviously it also prevents direct sunlight from hitting the leather.
My 2009 XKR Portfolio has dash delimitation. Im sick over it. Am going to try to get it stretched glued and staples down. Where did you get the sunshade? That looks perfect!
The "official" Jaguar-branded custom fit (X150) foldable rigid reflective windshield sunshade sold by Jaguar dealers is no longer available. It was made by CoverCraft and is still available on eBay without any printing. Custom fit Jaguar X150 Windshield Sunshade

That looks like a good one. Can you tell me the brand and/or where you bought it?
Thanks.
I will say the factory sun shades fits the best of any I have seen. I have an XJ so a different car but with the giant size windshield many don't give good coverage and don't stay in place.
My only complaint is the shade is so big even when folded that it's difficult to store. So I put it in the trunk which makes it more work to take out and use. Jaguar does supply a storage bag so the shade does not get beat up over time.
