Default Denso 2W93-12B579-AC Mass Airflow Senor ("MAF")

This is the MAF found in '09 XKR. Denso is a Japanese company, which produces this MAF in Spain. It is a very common MAF used also in Fords and Subarus. Price on-line is a fraction of Jaguar dealer price. This MAF fits many Jaguars, including XK. The above reference is to the Denso part number embossed on the MAF. Here is just one site for on-line purchase:

I thought I read somewhere here that the XKR's ECU wanted a matched pair to help limit the flow disparity faults between the air boxes.

Default Denso 197-6040 Mass

I bought Denso 197-6040 MAF on Amazon
to fix my intermittent check engine issue.
7 month into it, and no more light....

Yes I read that about fitting air filters from the same manufacturing date code. I believe Jaguar only sell air filters in pairs to overcome potential flow disparities however I've not head it about maf's but its an interesting point.

The reason why Jaguar insists on replacing both XKR air filters simultaneously is to have an equal (more or less) air flow across both MAFs. The electronics on various MAFs that fit XKRs are virtually identical, meaning that they will "read" in the same manner - so it is not necessary that MAFs "match". A '09 XKR used a Denso as original equipment. Other XKRs may use other brands.
