Default Detailing question

2012 XKR convert. On the rear top cover where the pop up roll bars are what is anyone using to clean that area with. It looks like leather but I don't think it is. Are the detailers using leather cleaner/conditioner or are you using plastic/vinyl detailer. Is the finish supposed to be matt or shiny.

On my 2009, that cover has a matte finish. I clean it with a microfiber cloth dampened with water. Still looks brand new. No need for any other type of cleaner or polish.

If it is vinyl, then Aerospace 303 is about as good as it gets. It is not a high gloss, and offers great UV protection.
Found at most marine supply stores.

I am a big fan Meguiar's Hyper Dressing. Mixes with water to control how shiny you want the finish. For a natural finish it's mixed 4 parts water to on part HD. An excellent value as I bought a gallon jug. Works great on tires and leaves no residue.

I used the Aerospace 303. Looks great and hopefully will help decrease fading of black from the sun. Can buy it online/ ebay.

Aerospace 303 is my go to for many applications especially the rubber "baby buggy bumpers" around the doors and windows. Also works great on any vinyl or hard rubber. Even though it claims to be safe for leather, I prefer my Leatherique for that.

Ace Hardware carries 303.
