So lean condition and a dry plug seems to indicate that the injector is not firing. So 2 new replacements and same condition so it rules out a bad injector. Is it possible you have a bent pin in the connector. It just seems localized to one cylinder. Maybe a broken wire. A coil wire in the connector or a bad pin. Is it possible that both the coil and the injector are not firing. How do they both fire is it from a Crank Position Sensor. Good luck.

Thanks. Noid light shows the injector has power, coil has 12v supply to it. Crank sensor would make sense, but I would think the ecm would throw a code for it if it was faulty.

Only a thought here, but maybe when the fuel rail was off a chunk of something got into the fuel line to #2 and the line is plugged? 2000+ psi is a lot, but if there's nowhere for a hunka stuff to go...

Yesterday when I pulled the injectors again I checked every hole on the rail, filled it full of cleaner and blew it out.

Checked compression on 2 and 3, 125 psi in both

I'm out of my league here but with the #2 injector pulled out, could you spray fuel into a bottle?

At 2500 psi, it'd be more like spraying fuel THROUGH a bottle.

Don't think it's a beam, more a fine spray so should work with a bottle.

A GOOD injector, yes. I guess since these ones are New, it'd be fine. Old ones may have a problem producing a mist, and may have a bit of a tight stream.
Still, that's a lot of pressure to mess around with.

So far today no misfires...charged the battery fully overnight, but I have come to find out my motor mount is bad.

Depends on the diameter of the largest moveable section. Most likely where the injector fits into the fuel rail. Figure out the square inch of the opening and multiply that by the fuel PSI to figure out force pushing the injector out of the rail. Probably not too high in the greater scheme of things.

With motor mounts that bad, the knock sensors can get triggered and cause misfires. Mercedes Benz with the hydraulic mounts where bad for this also.

I was wondering that as well, but the positions that the knock sensors are in would make me think it should throw a code for cylinder #1 as well.

Hopefully I'll be putting in the new mount this weekend, and see what it does then.

Fixed! (I hope)

All good in the shop so far....need to button everything up and take for a road test. But so far it's idling smooth and no restricted performance on the dash or check engine lights.... beers beers beers!
