Default Door Speaker Popped Out

A couple of weeks ago I shut the driver's side door and the little grill from the door speaker popped off. I thought I could just pop it back in, but that does not work. Seems that the speaker also fell back into the door and the grill will not stay in place. I mentioned it to the dealer when I was in for service figuring it was a minor issue that they might fix for free or close to it, but they wanted $250.

Has this happened to anyone else? Any thoughts on how to fix it without spending $250?

From the documents I have, you would need the pull the door panel off to gain access to the speaker. It is supposedly held on with 3 torx bolts which has me wondering how it could have come undone.

Thanks Vince. What documentation do you have, a shop manual? Any chance I could get a copy of the pages you are referring to?

Hi!

I have a 07 xk convertible, and the right side rear speaker makes a bit of a rattling sound. Do you have any documentation on how to gain access to it?
