Engine designation
In yesteryear Jaguar would always identify the engine size or displacement. It seems in the XK series they stopped after the XK8 . I recall my XKE had the 4.2 on the rear hatch and my XJS had the V12 on the rear but it seems starting with the 2007 models they left it off. I think it would have been following their history if they would have either gone with 4.2 or 5.0 . Just my opinion here , anyone else ??

I stuck a "5.0" badge on the back of my XF because I didn't want it confused with a 4 pot. You get them on ebay, and they match the font of the "XF".
I wouldn't be adverse to putting a decal on the back of mine that said "supercharged" or "5.0 supercharged" though I'd hate to think what a psychiatrist might make of that desire.

Psychiatrist would probably say that you would need to also put a detailed list of all the extra options so folks know just how much cooler your car is...
I say do it, it is your car so whatever fits have at it, a 5.0 SC wouldn't be horrible. The only time I would personally find it annoying is when someone falsely brands their car, you know, the person with a non-R car puts a //R badge on the back. But only mildly annoyed, still their car so it doesn't incense me.

In case you didn't figure it out, the car is a Honda Accord. Understandable, since the mentally handicapped owner is from New Jersey - youse guys gotta problem with that?
Stuart
P.S. I'm proud of being from the Garden State. Google "Application to live in New Jersey uncensored" - really funny.

OK, now that is hilarious, thanks for the fun read.
Rebadging an Accord to BMW, now that just deserves a prize! It seems BMW is a common culprit (or maybe it is because I had a BMW for the last 6 years and it was on that board all the time), I saw a brand new 2014 750 with an M7 badge down in Miami. Pretty sure there is no M7. You see the lower end (328/528) in car class debadging completely so they can give the illusion of the higher models. Not everyone, some do like the clean look.
What can I say, yoose are a proud Garden State'r. I am a proud Floridian, born and raised. Ya'll will find out I am a redneck done good with them there finances.

u102768,
I have no problem with the "supercharged" decal that was added to your XKR because you're not misrepresenting anything, which is not the case in the above-pictured "Honda 745Li". That decal actually looks like something the factory would have done.
Several 4.2L XKR owners have added the old-style OEM "R" logo badge to the front grille, as an update in the style of the newer 5.0L XKR models. Also something the factory would have done.
This is the worst thing I've ever seen done to an X150. I'm not sure which is worse - the V12 or the kissing cats. Can't see the exhaust tips, so it might not even be an XKR.
