Sorry guys just realised never got back about this but in the end it was the DAB unit which was faulty!!! Replaced this and problem was solved :-). Sorry took a while to get back. Essentially it was simple to realise...running through the sources on the unit we found the DAB didn't work properly, it would never tune or fire up when we switched to it. So thought let's replace that so we can get the DAB to work at least. In the end it solved the entire problem haha!
