Default Facelift and Murdered Out

It's great never having to take our car keys out of our pockets but I'm sure many of you know it degrades the key pad pretty quickly. Got a new front and back and decided to take it a step further:

Clearly Mike! You don't have enough to do.

I think I'll try it myself.

Ebony black exterior, black leather interior.... Yup

Now that I had my wood veneer painted ebony black, it really matches. I actually did the interior veneer, key fob and window trim all PEC Jaguar coded ebony black, just like the rest of the exterior.

Won't the black paint wear off quickly. If the medal were ionized it may last longer. What kind of paint and process did you use to paint your veneer and keys. They do look good!

Default Body Shop

I got what I believe was a great deal from my body shop guy. He said if I did the removal and installation he would save me some money so I removed all the interior bits, my front splitter (scraped), the window trim, the key bits and my trunk lock cylinder and he sanded them, primed and painted them all PEC Jaguar Black Ebony + Clear Coat for $250.

He did also bake them in the professional oven which I beleive will make everything nearly as durable as OEM.

I've scraped my front splitter every year when I take the car out of storage. When I first got the front splitter 2 years ago I scraped it the first week it was installed. I did it last year and just this week when I took the car out of storage....ssscrrraapp. Luckily the fiberglass didn't crack.

Also forget how long the nose is when I first take it out for the year. Front splitter and lowering springs is a bad combo.

I'm dying to get springs for the well gap but even more so to reduce body roll but the splitter keeps holding me off. I may try what another member did and get the 2012+ R-S springs which supposedly only lowers the car by 10mm. He had a 2010 though, don't know if that makes a difference.

Hey, Mike V-- Could I bug you to post pics of your piano black veneer? The 09 Portfolios are my favorite, and if I got one, then I'd want to redo my wood in piano black also. Thanks.
