So I clicked the Coventry West sponsor link on the side of the forum. Been wanting an a/c evap box to look at for possible solutions to the duck bill issue.

The place is 5 miles from my house! Dangerously close! Friendly helpful staff. Only one really wrecked XK (150) but tons of other Jags. Like acres! Gigantic warehouse. They have restoration projects. It's the whole trifecta. If you need it they probably have it or can get it.

So, what did you learn about the duckbill? Any simple workaround?

 

They are going to pull the a/c box out for me when the weather improves. It's in a rolled vert and it's outside with an old hood over the cabin. The dash is already out as with most of the interior. Shouldn't take them long.

BTW Stuart I bought a pin hole mechanics camera. Could prove useful for us.

 

I've been doing the "close all the vents and run the AC fan on high" trick for years and so far haven't had any water in the passenger foot well, so I guess my duckbill isn't clogged ... yet. Just curious about an easy fix in case it does get clogged.

That camera is like a parachute; you hope that you'll never need to use it, and realize that if you don't have it when you need it you're in big trouble.
