Just a thought.
If I understand it correctly, the dealer option to turn on DRLs just turns on the headlights in '07. This would not be my preference, so wondered if anyone has tried to rewire the fog lights to make them DRLs. If so, how?

I have not seen any aftermarket LED lights that I thought would work without altering the bumper guard (which I would not do), but if anyone has a suggestion I could go that route.

 

I have a 12 vert. I called Jaguar NA and advised them that I wanted the DRLs turned on on my car. they called the dealer and instructed them to turn on my DRLs. Result, DRLs are now turned on. My understanding is that it is really a quite simple matter to change a setting in one of the onboard computers.

 

So you have the DLR's turned on as well as the LED's???? Am I missing something? Why would you have both on? Wouldn't the LED's suffice?

 

Just to clarify. I know that the dealer can turn on DRL, but as I understand (I could be misinformed) DRL on my '07 is simply the headlights, as there are no other lights up front.

I would rather not do that, and am trying to find out..
1. am I wrong and there are in fact separate DRLs on the '07
OR
2. has anyone rewired the front fog lights to make them the DRLs.

The LED's on the '12 and on are the DRLs.

 

I wanted to have both on - just to be a little different.
