I'm looking at replacing the shocks on my '09 XKR. Finding lots of rear replacements (Bilstein) but not finding any of the front shocks. There seems to be a worldwide shortage. Anyone have any sources short of the $1k each the dealer wants?

 

your only option is STR front shocks. $550 each after shipping

 

I found two active Bilstein 20-114411 in CA, $320 each. Last two at the store. I can only suggest you keep calling around. There was one (only) at Tire Rack about a month ago.

 

Same as mine, I had to replace a leaking front right XKR shock a few months back. Nothing available at all. I ended up going with a used shock from an XKR with identical mileage as mine. I know that's not best practice, but it was only $100 and so far has worked fine.

 

I ordered all 4 from bilstein UK. About a 7 week lead time half the price from dealership. Should be delivered beginning of March
