Window only goes half way up - RESOLVED
Picked up car from getting all new interior done and the passenger window only goes up half way. Shop said its probably jag software problem. I rember reading about wimdow reset so figured i could sort it.
so it goes down fine but stops halfway going up.
When its up halfway it still does to litlle drop and rise with door handle
Cant see how removing and replacing door panel could affect the window
Tried the window reset and battery reset
no change
Will try SDD scan tomorrow. 1st time to use it so a bit nervous
anyone seen this before?

Yes, when the panel is removed and replaced incorrectly. Your shop messed it up. Make them fix it. Probably a misaligned cable, something out of a stop, holder, bracket or something. This does NOT sound like a software problem.
thanks thats what i told them i thought. They will make it right. I just hate the thought of having to drive to the industrial city in Abu Dhabi. Its like little bombay. Nerve racking
If it drops fully and rises half way normally, it could be something resisting the glass movement in the guide rail and tripping the anti-trap feature. Alternatively, the lift motor could be misaligned on the drive although I can't think why anyone would need to interfere with this just to re-trim a door card.

Fixed . The upholstery shop mistook the guide rail screws at bottom of door for panel screws and mis adjusted the guides by a couple inches .luckily i could see where they should be by grimy vs clean threads.
