Window problems in XKR convertible
I have two problems:
Driver side window - Every time the door is opened from the inside, or the outside handle is raised, the window moves down an inch or two. It will do this repeatedly, every time you pull on the inside or outside door handle. It's not slipping, it's being actuated by the handle(s) and i can hear the power window motor working. I think it may have something to do with the way the window moves down and then back up about a quarter inch when you shut the door on a convertible, but not sure.
Passenger window - The window is not moving down a quarter inch when you try to shut the door so the door jams against the soft top and won't completely shut.
Are there adjustments that a non-mechanic can perform? I've removed the door trim panel, but haven't looked at the window mechanism yet because i don't really know what i'm looking at...
BTW, i just replaced the battery a week ago (finally got the radio code from the dealer!), and i can't remember if i had the driver side window problem before replacing the battery. The passenger side has been malfunctioning since before the battery replacement.

You need to tell the window where the top and bottom are.
While in the car with the doors closed hold the window down button until you hear a soft 'click', about 5 seconds. Raise the window and hold for the click.
You should be good at that point.
Happens every time you disconnect the battery or have a weak battery.
