Factory window sticker question MPG rating
I'v been looking at alot of internet pictures and descriptions on the XK base cars and normally every one of the 06-09 cars that show the OEM sticker, I'v seen 25 mpg hwy ratings. But I ran into this one with a 27mpg hwy rating. Is that an EPA recalculating of the figures or some equipment difference in this particular model's drive train? Must be a simple answer to this! Thanks

Besides, nearly nobody who buys an XK gives a hoot about fuel mileage.
That car is a heap, needs a repaint, interior work, wheel refurb and probably every imaginable service. I'm surprised it still moves by itself.

Fuel consumption and performance figures are obtained under contrived circumstances rather than a reflection of real World results. The only justification is this gives a method of directly comparing vehicles but that doesn't make it any less of a fiction.

Appreciating that the US gallon s 17% smaller than imperial I've had 32 MPG from my 2014 5.0, that is driven at silly o'clock in the mornings on a 350 mile return trip with cruise engaged most of the way at 73mph*
Would work out to over 26MPG stateside, I only guessed trigger was due to your BaT reference
* As has been said not a lot of fun, but LOTS of speed cameras!

The press release for the 2008MY had this:
