Default Fuel filler door

How do you remove it? Car is of the road and I'm getting my bumper painted, the painter wants to measure the paint so they can get the right shade. Can't find the how to in the workshop manual!? I'm hoping you can take it of without the whole mechanism.

On my 2014 it was lift the RH side of the lid gently away from the bracket to release the lock tab and then pull the LH towards you to slide the lid off the filler bowl hinge bracket.

Check your hinge bracket looks the same as mine. There was a P/N change and I don't know if the earlier design is the same as this.

Got it off but broke a piece, will still go back on though so thanks. Saved me bringing a door or the hood!
