Default GPS issues

The red line indicating 'GPS not connected' on the navigation screen is always visible. If the position is calibrated the map will hold the route for a while using whatever other sensors exist but eventually it will 'wander off' the route and will not find itself again without recalibration. Presumably there is a little sensor somewhere that has packed up - any thoughts?

Welcome to the forum!

What year is your car?

GPS Antenna is located in the spoiler for 07-09, (and I think for all models, but my documents don't tell me anything above 2010

Vince - thanks for this. It's a 2007 so it may be in the spoiler. Is there a part name/number and can I fix it myself or is it a garage job?
