Finally got the XKR out of hibernation for a weekend trip with the family.
Getting rid of the winter cobwebs can be lots of fun. Here is a shot by Horseshoe Ski resort. Spring skiing anyone? (you have to climb the hill yourself though)
Well 77* yesterday and had a great drive with my bride. It looks like 80* today so I just took the car down and will be heading out for a round of golf. I usually leave about a half hour earlier just to enjoy a ride before I get to the course. Top always goes down before I leave the garage. Enjoy the ride. Oh , sorry if I offend anyone who has to go to work as sometimes us retirees forget about how it was.
It was 80 degrees here yesterday! Top was down. One of the few things I have learned to do with this car. Still wading thru the owners manual.
It was 80 back here in the Chicago burbs as well, so first time out this year was yesterday as well.
Do yourself a favor, and buy your cat a present as well, get theJagWrangler remote top kit, you'll love it. I bought the kit before my car was even delivered, and installed it ASAP.
WhiteXKR is a member of this forum, and his stuff is fantastic.
LOL...Too funny...Thats one of the things I love about AZ. 10 months out of the year its top down weather...or "grown men running around topless" weather...lol. From about May until early November, its AC weather during the day though...they dont call it "valley of the sun" for nothing...if you're not bald, the sun will burn a bald spot on you fairly quickly...lol
Ted - The R is treating me just fine. Have driven it to Palm Springs then La Jolla over back roads; too much slowe traffic dammit. The R is much faster and tighter than the old XK, but that may be because the car is 50K miles newer. Call me the next time you are over this way and we can have lunch. Or, I will do the same when I'm next in the valley. Regards,
