Default Help needed getting into suspension and chassis control modules

Hello,

I pulled my 2010 XK Portfolio out of my folks' garage from its winter slumber, fired it up, and on the way home the water pump let go. I had a couple of warning lights going and needed the 100k/120k service done so I took it to a local shop. He fixed the water pump and took a look at the codes, one of which is U043A (Invalid data rcvd from the suspension control module B). He can obviously read the codes but he's tried three different readers (Solas, Veras, Launch) and none can get into the suspension and chassis control modules.

Couple questions on this:
Does this indicate the control boards are bad?
Is there a reader out there that CAN get into the suspension and control modules?
What else could be causing this?

I'm trying to avoid taking it to a dealer and really taking one in the shorts but if I have to in order to get an idea of what needs to be done I'll do it, but hoping for help here first!

Thanks,

Brian

Google led me back to this forum:

Has your car been on a decent intelligent (usually European made) charger whilst it's been away?

Good luck!

The key statement is it has been put away for winter which would lead me to the same conclusion as most...battery issue, either it needs a proper charger or it's gone off.

Battery is less than 6 months old, it was on a battery tender all winter and fired right up when I started it.

Thanks for the link to the adaptive dynamics thread, that just may be the ticket! I read through it and it sounds like it may provide the solution needed. Will come back with the results.

Maybe inspect the wires in the suspension circuits. while you are there. Mice in the winter you know. 🐭

We used the trouble shooting idea posting in the link MarkyUK posted above, specifically post #3 in that thread (https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...6/#post1499481) and ID'd the culprit was the drivers front sensor. Replaced it and no more code or dash light.

Thanks for the help!
