Here we go again - Electrical Quirk PB and TOP
It all started after a 2 month forced storage due to medical issues.
Car was on battery tender at 13.7 the whole time.
Pulled the car out of the garage and immediately got PB failure , Cruise not available, and now the Top will not move and its never given me a problem.
Windows are acting weird, Power top to go down , windows go down but will not come back up.
I got all the schematics and manuals. It sounds like a ground issue , and if anyone has an idea where to check it would help.
I pulled the backseat junction box and looked things over with no real luck.
The PB failure happened last year and I replaced the control module which seemed to fix the issue.. Now here I am again.
The actuator functions correctly when I unplug the connector and apply power to the GW and RW leads , then reverse them.
Because if the actuator was causing this Id just Blow the car up. You have to pull the K member to change that thing out. NOT Happening.
Any ideas ?

Even on a maintainer, I’m guessing a battery can go bad. Two months isn’t long, as mine sits for usually 4 months over the winter on a maintainer.
Get the battery tested before going nuts on other things. (First check its resting voltage yourself.)

Starts, runs fine, Run Scan and about half the DTCs come back with Lost Contact with PB

Weird car ,
Did the battery disconnect, touch cables . Did the PB brake calibration and all went back to normal. Drove Car all Good, Except Top will still not respond. Back windows are down and top refuses to go either way.
Got back in car. Started Up , Immediately Got TPMS System failure, not a low tire but System failure,
Go figure.

Cleared the code as scanner said it was intermittent.
But what I did get when i scanned the folding top module was a CODE U303-1 Permanent. Google says Battery Circuit.
Im Stumped. I did a manual top down per the manual , released hyd pressure , pulled the release lever an the top manually went down, AFTER I had a hard time getting the Cover to unlatch but it finally did..
Only to find it would not latch to reclose.
Snake bit.
Go figure.
