Hood / bonnet 'service' mode
Hi All,
I was working under the bonnet (for that IS the proper word! ) of my XKR this weekend and wondered if the newer XKR150s had the same feature as the older XKRs, namely being able to put the bonnet into service mode.
And they do.
Maybe everyone knows this already so excuse me if I'm teaching my grandma to suck eggs, but if you're doing anything under the bonnet other than just checking fluids, you can fix the bonnet in a vertical position by unclipping the two struts and then inserting an m8/m10 bolt through the holes in the bonnet hinges which are designed to align when the bonnet is pointing straight up.
Takes 1 minute to do and makes working under the bonnet a much more enjoyable and non-head banging experience.
