Hood rattle
I was told it was nothing to worry about but you can't help but worry really...
When I start the car up from cold, there is a loud rattle from underneath the bonnet as the car revs up that first time. it sounds like if you fired an automatic gun that had no bullets in it and the spring was just rattling loudly. It's hard to describe really. Get something hard and plastic and whack it between two metal poles as fast as you can about 12-16 hits in total in the space of a second. That's what it sounds like. Very loud.
When the car is warm, i.e. turn it off and then on again after a drive, it won't do it.
Just wondering what the hell it might be?

Does it do the same if you turn the engine off and start it again?
Sounds like it could be the valves before you get oil pressure!?
