Default Hose leak - XKR 09

Hello guys,

I made an earlier post weeks ago about pursuing an XKR. I finally found one (2009 model), got it inspected and inspection results was great. So I went ahead and got the car and I've been using it for two weeks with no issues. Till couple of days ago it gave me a restricted performance error for like 5 seconds and went away. 2 days after that the car went into limp mode but with no restricted performance error coming up, when I went home, switched it off and then on, it was fine again.

Yesterday, I went to the Garage for the 100K KM maintenance (60K miles) as I thought maybe the car needs spark plugs, filters, etc. and asked them to perform a full check again if the car needs anything else to change. They've done a compression test on the coolant hoes, they found a leak in the hoes in the back of the engine, pictures shown above.

I haven't seen any water leaking in my garage or any smoke / low coolant warning or anything. the leak happens only under pressure, otherwise, when the car is cold and parked, nothing is leaking.

Anyway, they told me that I may need to change all the hoes in the system just in case, and the hoes leaking are behind the engine (9/10/11) in the pic below:

My question is, do I need to change all the hoes now or go with the bad ones?
Also, does anyone know what is the item code for these 3 hoes (9/10/11), as I will probably order them online (the dealership does not have them here), and if anyone know a trusted dealer who ships internationally I can buy from?

Two scenarios - so two different ways of approaching this:

ME
1. in England - spare parts are easily available and delivered next day
2. do my own repairs - costs nothing

YOU
1. in Kuwait - spare parts probably have to be imported. Delay and shipping costs.
2. paying for repairs

In my situation, I would replace the leaking hose. With the cooling system, pressure will find the next weakest hose and it will eventually fail and so on until all are likely to be replaced but that's not too inconvenient.

In your situation, this approach is EXPENSIVE when paying a specialist to do repairs for you because there is a lot of repeated work. It is also INCONVENENT as you are likely to have the vehicle off the road for several extended periods of time. Better to replace all the hoses and the issue is then out of the way for a long time.

You're right. Take it all in one go, better than losing my mind over continuous leak every now and then.

The next step would be locating someone willing to ship here, and identify all parts codes to be able to order.

Is there a trusted place in the UK that ships abroad?

Your forum profile shows 2007 but you have titled this thread 2009. Do you have a 4.2 or a 5.0 litre XKR?

I'd recommend reading up the DIY sticky on the valley hose. Part numbers are in there, along with part numbers for a whole bunch of other things you'll need to get that done. Hose #11 is the infamous throttle body to engine 'valley hose'. #10 is TB to EGR, and #9 I believe is cooling manifold to EGR. I'd replace all 3 of those if I had it open for #11, no matter where in the world I lived.

The 4.2 engines do not have a coolant level sensor, hence you will not get a 'low coolant' warning - only 'restricted performance' in that situation.
