I got the car , it's super, a xkr 2010, I like it a lot. It is 14000 km. My 10th jag. I baught it at Le Port-Marly near Paris at Jag, they offered the most for my 2008 xk, far from others. The service was excelent. Thank you Jaguar Le Port-Marly.

Congrats on your purchase! I love my 2010, and I'm sure you will as well.

When I see that, I think of the punk teens who see that as the reason to harm a car.

Congrats on the buy!

Had to go look at doordefenders, as I had no clue what it was!
Just a heads up that magnets don't do well on aluminum!

Vince
Vince, there is the doordefender utility2, which use suction, no magnets, and is a bit shorter too. It is what I ordered. I kept my last 4 jags with a pristine body but I am worry for that one.

yeah it is true too, but I see less and less punk here, lol... also trying to robb it may damage the inside , I will do something about it.
I prefer to risk to find a punk, than parking with 8 inches of room and a bad car next to it. Or i will add a teddy bear punk in the rear.

I got the black textile inside on top, it was told it was a special order, its like a portfolio. or all xkr comes like this?

Not all have the Jet headliner...your interior is like mine. I love my interior.

I'm curious - do you have any place to drive faster? I have to be careful with my 5L...it is *very* easy to more than exceed the speed limit. I've been to Paris and the country side only once, so I don't know all about the highway system in France.

And, aren't you afraid your new President is gonna include your fancy car in the high tax rates and confiscate it? DOn't let him see it...he will want it for himself!!

I live in spain, in 2 years I had nothing, no ticket etc, in 3 days in france yes I lost maybe 6 to 9 points out of 12 on my licence, but then for all radars I use another licence from the us. And any other licence will do.

We went fast on our way back but it was easier in spain.....but i am carefull when I do so, I pass others cars slowly and then if I can see clearly and there is no car I do acelerate, until the next car .

But I also appreciate driving it quietly...

You'll find out when it's time, lol. Be prepared. What's the dealer charge, 125?

Your service intervals should be every 15K miles. The service charge includes the oil change, which is a special Castrol synthetic oil. Your car does not have a dipstick - you have electronic oil level indicator.

The 30K service for my car will be around $700 US dollars. Since you are in Spain it will depend (obviously) on what your dealers charge.

I think they do a complementary check at 5K miles for new ownership in the US. The first service for the 2010+ XK/R's and R-S is 15K miles. The first service charge for me was only about $350 as I recall...oil change alone is about $170 (US Dollars, US Dealer, may vary from dealer to dealer)
