The CD Player did not work when I bought the car. After running several scans and checking wiring, I said to heck with it and ordered a used unit off Fleabay.

The model I have is a 6G9N. Breaker sent me a 7G9N. Later model one out of a LR. Nothing to lose so plugged it in. Bang ! Works fine.

These units are cheap, from about $40 to 75 and mine came with 6 Factory CD's from bands I never heard of, one was Dog something.

Anyway previous to changing the IAM I noticed I have no rear speakers working. Since the change , still no rear speakers.

Thoughts ?

 

Range Rovers don't have rear seats?
Heck, I don't know. Different firmware, or maybe some wires not used in the connector that fit anyway? You did try all the settings though, I'm sure......

 

You've checked sound modes? Fade? Put tone to rear speakers? Could be a software issue too.

Now that the Display and CD are working , Ill run another scan and see what turns up.

 

Scan Shows:

B1A04-11 Speaker 4 Circuit Permanent

Rear right speaker circuits
- short to ground
All the other speakers are shown also but only intermittent.

As far as control Bal / Fade front good rear nothing left right good just no rear
SUB setting has no effect

U0262-00 Lost Comm with Audio Amp B

????

All this info was in previous scans before changing the IAM.
