Default iPhone4s: iOS6: 2013XK

I have some weirdness going on. I haven't been in my car for about 3 weeks, and when I got in it today, I plugged my iPhone into the iPod jack just as I have always done before, and the first thing I notice was a message on the phone that said the device wasn't compatible with charging. I thought that was weird because it always charged before. Then when I went to audio/iPod, it didn't see the phone at all. So, basically, the connection is completely dead. Bluetooth works fine, though.

The only thing I could think of that is different is that I updated to iOS6.0.1 sometime during the three week period.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Thanks.

Problem solved:

Called the dealer and explained the symptoms, and he told me to start the car first, and THEN plug in the phone. I did that, and everything works correctly again.
