is there any sort of ipod interface that is made to work with the 07 xkr with premium sound?

or can you stream music through the bluetooth?

 

There is an Ipod kit available at your dealer and It works pretty nice

$1600 you are getting ripped off bud. Don't do it there.

There part is about $500.00 retail to customer. We charge 2.5 hours for install. Even at $150 an hour, that is only $875 total.
I would call another dealer. Or you can pay me $800 and I will be more than happy to install it.

i thought that sounded really high priced

do you know if it is fm modulated or does it add a ipod button to the screen

or do you just tune to a certain station to hear it

$even $500 seems steep for just a fm modulator

It is not FM modulated. Comes up on touch screen. Uses the fibre optics. Still.....$1600.00 is BS.

 

$800 seems like BS too since a lot of cars have it standard these days, but if it integrates on the toiuch screen it may be worth it.

 

The XF has it already integrated and I think the 2009 XK will also.

Jaguar never really has been on the cutting edge of late. Red headed stepchild of Ford is the cause for that.

 

well i dropped the car off last night and the guy i talked to on the phone was an idiot

the ipod interface is $275 plus about $200 to install it

so way less then the $1600 they originally said

I can look for it tomorrow. Incidentally, it will charge the ipod, but not the iphone. It will play the music from both.

You have to use full control from the ipod, but like I said it is not FM. It comes through stereo, only on the screen will say AUX. It also has to be programmed by dealer to add auxillary input to screen. Not plug and play.
