I'm looking to buy this april/may and was considering a 2008 on the lot but the 2009's are arriving in June. I heard they will have the iPod connector already installed standard. Will that give full on screen use of the iPod with track info and such or will it be the same as the delaer installed option? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I certainly do not mean to be rude or disrespectful, but this thread here seems to me moot. Can someone please show me a part number, a link, a search, a picture, a contact, for an ipod/iphone connector for a 2008 JAG XKR?
I have contacted 4 dealers and all they tell me is that there is an FM connector for the ipod you can buy at radioshack for $14.95
I have searched these forums and many others up and down, and I see nothing concrete anywhere that proves that such a cable/interface/ installer exists for either in dash or post dash?
Someone please show me where I made a mistake here?

I have one which was dealer installed in my XKR, and it sounds like others here either have it or have installed them, seems that would be all the proof you need that it actually exists.

No, you can't have an Aux jack in a $90,000 car!
$275 for the module if you DIY then $150 or so at the Jaaaag dealer to reflash the headunit to recognize the new input. It sucks I know because I did it. It's the best/only way.

Need help for streamimg radio also
Need help with 2012 xkr radio. Makes no sense. my phone plays through the bluet app on the car but Pandora or other streaming does not come through any help with this would be great. miss the old cass player with a cord!!!

I got around all this malarkey by putting all my 8,000+ songs on a 128GB flash drive and stuck it in the USB port. Course, 2010s and later are different than the older models. Bad part, I still need another billion songs to fill up the flash, only used 32GB of it so far.
