I am looking at buying a 12 XKRS that is a cross the country IRR color . I visted my local dealer to see the IRR in person and in the daylight . The window sticker called the color out as Italian Racing Red Metallic . Id there a difference in 2012 Italian Racing Red and 2016 Italian Racing Red Metallic . Reds are so difficult to get right on a serious sports car .

 

I have a 2012 IRR convert and I don't believe there is a difference. In the sun you can see the metallic flakes in the paint . I think it looks great.

 

Check the three-letter exterior color code shown on the door-jam sticker of each car.

 

Yeah I'm sure they are the same. I lusted after IRR for years and now have 2 2016 cars in it. It does however change colour depending on the light, from almost maroon in the shade to pretty much crimson in full sun, so it'll look like different colours. Even our two cars side by side look like different colours because of different angles.

 

I have IRR on my XE. Jag digs the color as that is about the only color they huck the XE in on TV.... To me it's a good color, but so was Radiance Red...
