I'm not a SF customer, but had to file a claim against one. After a phone call to set it up, and them verifying the circumstance with the customer, I stopped in at an assessment office, they verified, and cut me a check. The only downside is they now send me more personalized junk mail to try and get me to sign up with them. Now, I have no clue how they treated the person who actually had the service.

I hope they treat their clients better than they treated me. The claim against their guy, who rear ended me, was a total night mare and they refused to offer diminished value. In essence, "If you don't like it, sue us....we have lots of attorneys". Don't know if it would be worth it but still might go that route.
I agree, agents make a difference but it is also who is running their claims department as well.
LOL, have you guessed its just a sore subject to me?

You're in Georgia and didn't say when that accident occurred but, if you are still within the Statute of Limitations, you should refile that claim for Diminished Value. Georgia is one of the few states that, by statute, requires insurance companies to cover DV claims. Don't fall for their low-ball check and cover letter explaining that their calculation was based on the formula in a Georgia court case. That's not required by the statute; a qualified appraiser's determination may be much higher and give you leverage to negotiate a much higher settlement that covers the cost of that appraisal and then some. How do I know this? Been there, done that.

Too many things wrong, that's not a X150.
