Hi Stuart, my 09 xkr has a whining sound coming from the rear.it only has 18k on it. The dealer said differential needs replacing. possibly a bearing problem. I lost the thread where folks were talking about the same problem. any thoughts? Mark

new Jaguar hood louvers for XKR
new Jaguar Hood Louver vent, Painted to match car color, installed.
Comes in set of two with 2 pieces to each side ( a primed to paint trim ring and the chrome "supercharged" emblem on a black mesh background)
The chrome and black mesh match the lower standard louvers on the front side of the car.
paid $260 for the set, the dealer painted and installed them for $50

They look awesome
I will post behind the old louvers for comparison

The "sultry" babe in the photo makes the new supercharged vents look so much better.

Nice!

I see a set on eBay already painted the color of my 2112XJ Supercharged
what do you think would have to happen to retrofit them to a flat hood. I was hoping to 3m tape them but would they sit too high and look goofy?

Actually, there are little plastic tabs on the back of the louvres, They pop in and pop out. They are brittle, be careful.

When I bought my R the chrome R screens were on the hood (bonnet). The chrome mirror covers and side vents were installed too. I don't know if I would have purchased them if they were not already on the car but I'm OK with them.
