Default Just leased a 2011 XKR Cabriolet!!!

I just leased a 2011 XKR Cabriolet tonight - liquid silver, black soft top, dove grey interior. Just drove it home tonight so I have lots of reading to do and learning/exploring my new car. I leased it for four years so I'm really excited to get to know my car.

Looking forward to chatting with everyone and learning about all of the great features of the XKR!!

Sandy

Hey, when did the factory stop putting the chrome side vents on the XKR? Looks like they are body color on Sandy's 2011...

Unless I just ain't seein' it right. I have had a couple of Bass Ales already today...

Hi Stillwaters - I double-checked and you're right. Those are body color. I'm wondering if they only do that on the Liquid Silver? I doubt that chrome would show up that much against the silver paint. Maybe??

Now do you see why I couldn't choose the XFR over this one??

So, I finally located my window sticker and here are the actual colors/options:

- Liquid Silver exterior
- Char-Char/ivory - interior
- 20" Kalimnos wheels
- Dunlop tires
- red brake calipers

Since we took delivery of the car after the dealership was closed, they told me that I can go back in another week or so and they'll do the full detail on it. Unfortunately I have some strange film on the instrument panel cover that is very visible at night. I tried to clean it last night but it didn't do a thing. I hope that someone at the dealership didn't wipe it with something that damaged it!

Anyway, it's such a great car!!

Sandy

I'm fairly certain that nobody could ever accuse the XKR of being a practical car!

I've never agonized over a new car purchase like this one, but in the end, I am confident that I made the right choice. And, since I did a four year lease, I have lots of time to enjoy it!

Hey, chrome vents or not, what a beautiful ride. You better start getting used to gawkers. People approach me almost every day to talk about and openly admire my XK. I feel like a movie star without the Paparazzi...
