One of the 2 keyfobs has worked intermittently on my '08 almost since day one. Sometimes the doors won't unlock, sometimes it won't start and frequently I get a message about the fob can't be found and to insert it in the slot, etc. I figured the battery must be getting low and called my salesman about it. He concurred and said the same thing happened to him. Called service and was told battery not serviceable and new fob would need to be programmed. Took it in and at that point was told the fob was fine, battery was fine, it was an issue with the software in the car which they updated and now the fob worked perfectly, according to them.

Well, that was not the case, it still did not work correctly and now a new meesage has been added, key battery low, duh!

Anyone here run into this?

 

I had the same issue a few months ago, the dealer replaced the key and
no problems since. It's the key not the car.

 

That's what I figured. Let's hope they get it right the second time around.

 

Got the car back, they changed the battery in the fob. Seems to be working.
