leather dash question
The leather dash was part of the "Luxury" interior - virtually the entire interior including dash and console, the entire seat (not just the seating area) etc was covered in premium "soft touch" Italian leather.
The standard interior has leather on the seating surfaces, the centre console armrest, and the door pull, but the rest is premium vinyl (Mercedes calls its vinyl "artico leather" in an attempt to fool the customer - Jaguar does not resort to this sort of tactic). The dash on the standard car is covered in this premium vinyl, with the same stitching pattern as on the leather dash. The grain is more pronounced that it is on the leather version, but it is so good that you can be forgiven for thinking that it is leather.

+1 on fully optioned.
3 major option packages and the List Price (in 2008)
Luxury Package (Leather) - $3300
Premium Sound - $1875
Advanced Technology Package (Adaptive Cruise, etc) - $2500
I can't imagine not having adaptive cruise. It is the best thing ever.
