Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if I could get some info from one of you Jag experts on the board here. I'm doing a resto on an old motorcycle and am looking for a dark green color that is close to the original (I don't have any old parts with the paint on them etc). Anyway, I thought this would be a great color for the bike. Could someone give me the year and model of this car as well as the paint color and or paint code if possible?

I think I have it pretty well narrowed down, but there seems to be a few different colors it could be such as Jaguar Racing Green Pearl Clearcoat, British Racing Green Clearcoat or Emerald Fire Pearl Clearcoat.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. The more technical the better.

Ok, so I did a little more research and this looks like it may be an XKR up to about 2006. So that narrows down my color choices to.

1. Jaguar Racing Green
Or
2. British Racing Green

Anyone know for sure?

My money is on Jaguar Racing Green. BRG is a solid color. Jaguar Racing Green is a metallic color with hints of blue. The XKR certainly looks like it has a metallic color. Gorgeous color.

I had an XK8 in Jaguar Racing Green - looked alot like the picture of the XKR. A great color.

That looks like Emerald Fire to me. Are you sure it wasn't an option that year? Also, that car may have been repainted EF at some point. I would take a copy of that pic to Jag body shop to be sure what it is.

 

Emerald Fire and Jaguar Racing green are almost exactally the same color just a name change in the mid 90's. BRG is a "flat" or non-metallic color. They are both great colors but i think your looking for the Jaguar racing green metalic color.
Its a gorgeous color!!!
