Default Lowering my XKR

I am looking at 2 different lowering springs for my XKR. They are both sold by Adamesh. One is basically H&R springs rebadged that lower the car 35mm (1.3inches). The other ones are cheaper ($400) and lower the car less, 25mm (1 inch). I'm worried about lowering my car too much. With the front lip, I don't want to worry about rubbing coming into slanted driveways. I know 1.3 inches isn't so much but still. What do you guys think?

I have the 30mm Paramount Performance UK lowering springs and I'm scraping the front splitter when backing out my driveway. I would have to reverse on an angle without scraping. Another problem is the cement parking bumpers where I've misjudged twice the nose of the car and the splitter touches it. I would then have to touchup the splitter. Suprisingly though the speed bumps at my gym, I have no problem scraping the splitter as I usualy go on an angle.
Here is how low the splitter is to the ground with the 30mm springs and also pic of the gap filled from the tire to the wheel well.

Thanks for the reply Ghost. If you're rubbing with 30mm I can't imagine me with 35mm on my horrible roads. I guess I'll go with the 25mm but it pisses me off because I was able to find the H&R (35mm) springs for as low as $280, which was a real bargain. I'm sure it's worth paying more ($400) in this case to have peace of mind. (Beautiful car BTW)

You might be able to get away with 35mm. Just remember to go on an angle if your going over speed bumps or driveways. I'll take a pic soon of my driveway angle to give you a sense on how steep it is for it to scrape. Also, I'll take a close up pic so you can see how much gap is left between the tire and wheel well with 30 mm springs.

Just to give you an idea...this is the curb on my driveway that the front spoiler scrapes when backing out. If I back out on an angle, I have no problems.

Here's how much gap between the splitter to the ground:

Here is the wheel gap front and rear with the 30 mim springs. There's about 2 fingers gap left.

That's a wicked curb. You seem to have some space left for that extra 5mm of the H&R. The front is not too low and there is a little fender gap left so I would have enough room to fit the 35mm instead of 30. Thanks a lot... Again, a picture is worth a thousand words.

Is it just me or do those Nittos appear to be designed with some sort of curb rash protection/deterrent?

I've heard that about Eagle F1s...

Both... But if you have to choose... Spacers are definitely the better look.

Just a thought . I build modified cars as a hobby . The 40 Caddy in my sig. is on air suspension so I can lift or lower as required, so if I come across a speed bump etc or want to get a floor jack under or the arms of my hoist I just hit the up button and lift the car up to give me more clearance, the same could be done with the Jag with a very simple inexpensive small air bag system ,front only or front and rear just up or down one button control, this would not interfere with the suspension in any way as the bags would be inflated compleatly when down.

If you lower and use spacers is there still room for the front tires to clear the fender lip when turning on full lock ?? BL

Spacers would make it have more room for a full lock. A mild drop like we're all talking here won't affect this much.

OK, I looked into this doing the install your self, you would have to make some brackets ,The cost of the system would be approx $1500. The big problem is where would you put the 3 gal air tank.If I was to do it I could install it as I have removed the rear seat and made a luggage area. but then again I havent lowered my car as yet maybe this winter when I take it off the road. BL
