main beam XKR 2007
Hi
Can someone help please?
My 2007 XKR convertible has a dark shadow on the nearside headlight (the car is right hand drive and I live in the UK) when I switch to main beam. When on dipped headlights it's not noticeable but when I put main beam on there's a dark horizontal stripe from left to right on the nearside headlight. It's a large blank area approximately 30% of the total view which the main beam doesn't light up. There's nothing obvious on the glass or inside the headlight housing. I could sketch the pattern out if it would help anyone identifying the possible problem.
Is this normal or unusual?
Any help would be much appreciated.

I can't think of any possible way a light could be cut off like that.
Yes, a photo or a drawing certainly would help on this. If you could, block off one side and sketch the other, then block off the other and sketch the first.....
Of course, you MAY be describing the focused aiming of the light, whereas the (I don't know UK 'not-English') Driver's side beam is truncated on the top somewhat so it isn't blinding towards where oncoming traffic would be located.
