Hey guys,

picked up a elect Edition XK about a month ago...car is in great shape. I have had the calipers painted, the Jag lettering done along with the red wheel inserts and have changed the side vents to chrome...here are a couple of pics...next up is the front grille....not looking to do too much but I think these accents really add to the car. Thoughts?

 

Congrats on the purchase and welcome an other '08 XK owner to the forum.

The red calipers look great with those wheels. I also added the chrome side vents and the upper stainless mesh only to my '08. I like to accent the upper oval intake only, visually separating it from the lower intake.

Did you paint the calipers yourself? Where did you get the lettering? Can you post some more pictures of the calipers? They look great!

 

A couple of pictures. I used the Mina wire mesh for the front. It installs right on top of the existing front mesh, no need to remove the bumper.

Here are some more pics of the calipers...i had them painted by a local guy...did 3 coats on each, used the high temp vht paint..I bought the vinyl lettering and the red growler caps on ebay...i also added 3 coats of high temp clear coat after I did the lettering....total cost of the whole job...$210
