I spoke with Herman they told me the issues here have been resolved as of last year when they upgraded their kit.

Has anyone purchased the kit within the last year or so? If you have have you had any of the issues discussed in this forum.? Was it truly plug and play now?

Default Still got problems

I thought I had mine resolved but I've been getting indicator light out warnings again this past month.
An electrician friend suggested it could be due to the increase in humidity and the current passing over the resistor.
Relative humidity in my local area is currently around 78

Mike is this a kit that you had to install a resistor in?

When exactly did you buy the kit?

Also do you have the part number of the kit you bought? Thanks for your help with this.

Any interest in making or selling a harness to make this plug and play?

I was working on a putting a kit together with the relays, resistors and brackets.
I have some relays and resistors, but it will require assembly.
If anyone is interested, let me know.

+1. I would like a harness. Twice on eBay I missed sets for only $250. Ugh!

That harness sounds great, if you willing to put together another kit for a new 07 owner, I'd love to get one, thanks.

+1. Count me in, too, at a fair price.

Since there have been reports of some dead LEDs in the 2010-up tail light units, I'd be wary of used ones on eBay. They might be defective ones replaced under warranty. I'd be a bit more comfortable if they were parted out of a wreck without rear end damage and represented by the seller to be working without any broken or missing parts. Depending upon the used price, new parts with a warranty might be worth the difference.

Looks like you have a few interested members and probably more once they find out. Looking forward to what you come up with for us. Thank you.

Alright guys, sorry for the long read but I figured I would try and reach out for some help in this thread as a last ditch effort before I give up on these LED lights. So here is the story....

I ordered the Adamesh 2010+ LED kit for my jaguar, I installed the kit and checked the wiring a dozen times, I am 100% sure that it was installed per the kits instructions. The tail lights, fog lights, brake lights etc.. appeared to work fine until you used the driver side turn signal while braking. I can only assume that the power draw from the LED stop lamp, turn signal and the kits 'cheater light bulbs' all combined were drawing too much power and the car registered this as a failure. The error message on the dash was "Indicator Lamp Failure" and the dash light up the entire left side of the car as faulty. (see attached pic).

Finally I gave up with the 'spare bulbs' trick that this kit uses and tried the resistor method as shown in this thread. I ordered the 25watt 25ohm resistors and also the 10ohm ones.

I eliminated the spare bulbs from the adamesh kit and wired up the new resistor plates. If you recall with the resistor plates you end up with a plate with 3 terminals (Ground, Stop lamp, turn signal). Essentially all I needed to do was ground the one side of the resistors to chassis and the other 2 leads spliced into the orange wires on the car (one wire was turn signal, the other stop lamp). The first time I fired up the car and the brake lights were not working. I determined that I had to ground one more wire that adamesh had installed in the taillights for a ground wire (ground wire previously used for the cheater lights). Once I grounded this wire from the adamesh kits, bingo, I now have working brake lights and turn signals.

Unfortunately, now I am registering a 'Brake lamp failure' instead of the indicator failure before. And now instead of the entire left side of the car showing failures, it is ONLY the driverside taillight. One other additional note is that when I apply the brake, the driver side brake light will slowly flash on and off. It continually will cycle on / off / on / off etc.. whereas the light is on for about 1-2 seconds before turning off for a second and then coming back on and repeating.

Is there any chance that ANYONE can advise on what can be possibly done to fix this? I am so sick of this not working I am willing to pay someone to help me out or even possibly fly out here to MN to help me.

The only possible thing I can think of that could be causing errors is that geoff from adamesh must have switched the pins on the lamps so that they work with the factory 2007 car connectors. GeorgeKale recommends changing the pins on the car side. I installed these resistors but did not swap pins on the car side as the pins were already swapped on the LED side and clearly everything works (by works I mean brakes light up when braked, turn signals when activated etc..). I am wondering if perhaps one of the pins is missing a ground or when geoff went into the lamps to add the bulbs and ground wire that that may affect GeorgeKale's resistor solution?

M6XKR,
What year is your XKR? Have you contacted Geoff at Adamesh?

That's why I haven't ordered a kit yet.

I have a 2007 XKR, I have been in contact with Geoff since I purchased the kit a year ago. He has ALWAYS been very quick to respond and extremely helpful in trying to help me trouble shoot. Unfortunately something about this particular kit, or my car that is just giving me problems.

Default Which harness should I use.

Im getting the parts together to install LED rear lights in my 08 XKR . There is one thing I dont understand using Georges parts list, he only shows one harness which I assume is the trunk lid harness ?, In previous posts there is mention of two tail light L/R harnesses being needed to enable to plug in to the existing harness , or maybe Im reading it wrong. opinions please .
Has anyone installed the lights using Georges instructions , I have PMd George but he must be away from his computer . Mahalo. Im in Maui at the moment . Bernie .

You replace your existing trunk lid harness with a 2010+ harness,...a single harness. See pic below of my 2007 harness

Sherbercars would you be looking to sell your factory tail lights? I am debating about going back to the stock lights. Anyone looking for a set of essentially brand new (less than 200 miles driven with these) LED tail lights? These lights are set up to accept (and come with) the cheater bulbs but I also have the resistor packs built that I will throw in. I didn't have much luck with these, but maybe someone else will.

I might be interested but why hasn't Adamesh provided support? I would be getting rid of my factory lights so perhaps we can do a deal.
