My nav appears to function correctly although I rarely use it. I was running general diagnostics with my new icarsoft and got this fault showing for the nav. Tried resetting and it said successful but immediately showed up again. Others may recall my whole screen kept rebooting due to a depleted battery but it’s all ok now. The temp thing is a bit baffling to me. Does it refer to the nav unit in the boot?
I don't know how the Icarsoft tool works so bear with me. how did the code pop up? Is there something in the tool that steered you to the navigation unit? Are the screens you're showing specific to the NAV unit because nothing on the screen indicates which control unit is affected.
The code itself U3000-55 indicates - Stored vehicle configuration data does not match but can apply to many control modules. The suffix 55 typically indicates a module lost its software configuration.
With regard to the temp, again if it's the NAV unit, I don't know how warm they get but the disk spins continuously. 109℉ doesn't seem that hot to me.
Hi Sean yes when you do a complete diag test icarsoft interrogates each module one at a time and either says pass or fail then onto the next. I think everything passes except the rain sensor is faulty, the drivers door auto locking motor is faulty (drivers door rarely locks when the central locking activates when pulling away) which is one of the BCUs (body control unit) and the NCU fails the test. No DTCs or CELs just says the Nav control unit does not pass the test. Actually I’m just thinking now that if its a non Jag oem disc maybe that triggers a fail because as I mentioned it all works ok so I don’t want anyone to spend too much time on it, just one of those quirks I guess.
