Default Need Help | Seatbelt Twisted

My passenger seatblet is twisted one times over. How do I untwist it? I tried pulling the belt all the way out, but it never flipped back over.

What you'll probably have to do is fold the belt in half and then drag the buckle over it. The belt itself may not be twisted--the buckle may be oriented the wrong way, though.

That's what I thought, but it's super tight. Not easily done. There has to be some other way?

If it's like every other car I've had, you'll have to use quite a bit of force!

Moses, you can use some 'extra' force to try to squeeze the half-bent belt through the buckle. Alternatively (or in addition), you might consider removing seatbelt anchor point on the floor just behind the front seat; but to remove this you will need to remove the seat as the removed hex bolt will hit the seat rail before disengaging completely!

The twist you have was probably there from the start, I think I saw a TSB somewhere; can't believe how these things happen!

I don't think the twist was there since the start or I would've noticed it right away. Will try the twist method when I get some time.

Realize this is an older thread...
I got to work today and the drivers belt on my 07 xkr would not retract. Looked and realized it had a half twist between buckle and retractor. I pulled the belt out all the way 3 times but the twist stayed and it didn't want to retract.
So.... with it pulled all the way out I pushed the twist right up to the retractor, lost my grip, and the belt got slurped up and its fine again. The twist must have been behind the rear kick panel.

Hope that helps someone. I'm not sure I could have folded the belt and got it back through the slit in the buckle.
